Scientific Programme

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am glad to present you today the scientific programme of the 2nd International Workshop on Perinatal Biomagnetism on 3 - 4 June 2011 in Dornburg/Jena.

After the first workshop in Chieti/Italy in 2009, we would like to invite you to the charmful setting of the Old Castle of Dornburg to discuss the current development of the magnetocardiography and magnetoencephalography. These two diagnostic and scientific tools will be linked to other recent developments in fetal monitoring.

We are pleased to welcome 25 internationally recognised specialists, who will give a state of the art of the following main topics:

• Fetal Biomagnetism – What have we learned so far?
• Methodical Advances in Perinatal Biomagnetism
• Heart Rate Monitoring – Development of the autonomic nervous system
• Advanced Surveillance for the fetus at cardiac risk
• Perinatal Brain Development
• The Betamethasone Story
