Fixed Term One Year
Salary: £31,998 - £38,737 per annum

The Department of Media and Communication is looking to appoint a LSE Fellow for one year from 1 September 2011. You will join a leading department with more than 200 MSc students and fourteen academic staff which was ranked third on GPA in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.

You will contribute to the lecturing, seminar teaching and supervising of MSc students, and management of MSc courses.

You will have completed your PhD by the interview date and have a developing record of publications in refereed journals. You will have one or more specialisms within the field of global media and communications together with experience in the relevant theoretical and research issues. Evidence of good teaching skills at the Master's level in team teaching settings is essential.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
