Dear All

Just to let you know that Informa have finally seen sense and re-instated our Archive access to this title.
It just shows that getting your supplier to be insistent with publishers on your behalf does work.

Regards

Subject: Acta O&G Scandinavica info needed re change of publisher & loss of online archive access

Dear All

Does anyone out there who subscribes to Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica have any unbound issues from 2010 or earlier?
Ours have just come back from the binders and we only have the 2011 issues which are now published by WILEY and have the 'current subscription' details in them.
If any of you have front covers from the Informa published issues can you let me know what the subscription information says it provides access to.

I am unhappy with the fact that, with the change of publisher in 2011 from Informa to WILEY our access to the online archive of this title has been withdrawn.
Informa say they only gave free access to the archive while we subscribed to it. They class the fact that WILEY now publish this title to be the same as if we had cancelled our subscription, which we haven't.
Informa say that we can pay them an archive fee (I have not yet asked how much this is) to access the online archive, which unitl January 2011 we had access to as part of our subscription.
WILEY are saying that current subscriptions only give online access from 1997 onwards (in line with their other subscriptions) and that access to the archive will cost us (again I haven't yet asked for a price for this).

Our supplier for this title is liaising with both the publishers on our behalf and is unaware of any other subscribers complaining about this change.
Are we the only library in the UK to subscribe to this title, or have other libraries not noticed this change, or is everyone else just accepted the publisher line on this and paying out extra money for the archive content which used to be free.

Any information and or opinions on this would be helpful.

Many thanks
Sandra
