Apologies for cross-posting, please note the important title change information which follows: SAGE launches Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary & Alternative Medicine (JEBCAM) Los Angeles, CA (April 27, 2011) - SAGE recently launched the Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary & Alternative Medicine (JEBCAM), formerly known as Complementary Health Practice Review. Additionally, the web address for the journal has been changed to: http://cam.sagepub.com. Those who navigate to the current site will automatically be redirected. JEBCAM is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed biomedical journal publishing hypothesis-driven and evidence-based articles concerning observations or studies (both positive and negative) in all fields of healing practices encompassed by the terms complementary, alternative, and integrative medicine. JEBCAM is edited by Dr. Roger A. Brumback, an internationally-renowned clinical neuroscientist, educator, and Editor-in-Chief of the highly regarded Journal of Child Neurology, which is also published by SAGE. Brumback, a graduate of the Penn State (Hershey) College of Medicine and trained as a pediatrician, neurologist, and pathologist, has an extensive bibliography including more than 100 articles and 19 books. One of these books, coauthored with his wife Mary, is titled The Dietary Fiber Weight Control Handbook. Currently, Brumback is Professor of Pathology and Psychiatry at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. "I view JEBCAM as an opportunity to provide sound scientifically-driven information on all forms of complementary, alternative, and integrative therapies to health professionals in all disciplines," said Brumback. "Too often there is a public perception that 'science' is at odds with complementary and alternative treatments. Nothing could be further from the truth: science is not an entity, but rather science is a method to study the 'why' and 'how' and to explain the workings of nature.
