Subject: Free half day event at De Montfort University 24th May - Great key note speaker!

The Centre for Learning and Study Support (CLaSS), in partnership with the Academic Professional Development Unit at De Montfort University, offers this free half day event. Workshops will illustrate the outcomes of partnerships between learning development staff (both central and faculty based), librarians and academic staff from the faculty of Art and Design and the Leicester Law School. The final programme is yet to be confirmed but currently covers:

·         Creating a critical thinking toolkit for LLM distance learners

·         Using  creative writing approaches with Fashion students producing trend predictions

·         Citation and referencing and the development of an academic voice

·         Collaboration across the sectors to produce a transition resource for a first assignment in HE

There will also be an opportunity to showcase posters, resources etc at the end of the event, over lunch.

I’ve attached a flyer but you can access the details and the conference registration form on the DMU website directly here: http://www.dmu.ac.uk/aboutdmu/services/hr/apdu/conferences_and_events/Learning_Dev_Partnerships_and_Stud_Learning.jsp

Look forward to seeing you there!

Best wishes

Mary
