'The Centre for Learning and Study Support (CLaSS) in partnership with the Academic Professional Development Unit at De Montfort University offer this free half day event. Workshops will illustrate partnerships between Learning Development staff (both central and faculty based), librarians and academic staff from the faculty of Art and Design and the Leicester Law School. There will be an opportunity to showcase posters, resources etc at the end of the event over lunch. Booking details are also in the attached flyer.

‘Learning development partnerships and student learning: The transformative impact of constructive encounters in the curriculum.

With increasing pressure on resources, learning development teams need to demonstrate their ability to be relevant to, and engage with, the full range of students. This free event considers ways of enhancing the impact of learning development through collaborative and embedded approaches. Students, academic staff, librarians and learning developers will share their experiences of learning and teaching together.

John Hilsdon, founding chairman of the Association of Learning Development in Higher Education, will be our keynote speaker: additionally workshops will provide opportunities to consider how partnerships have enabled the development of key resources, enhanced the delivery of the curriculum and widened the scope of learning development.’
