My International client is looking for a GIS Developer / Technical Consultant. The role is London Based with a very competitive salary and benefits package.

You'll be required to provide developer support during the bid, design, build, test and deployment phases of projects, give technical support and guidance to account managers. Provide technical expertise in terms of product usage, software usage, functionality, performance, aesthetics, resilience and re-use. You'll efficiently identify common components, solutions and services to meet key project goals, as well as conduct requirements analysis and the translation of user needs into work or component specifications. 

Part of the role will be to provide work estimates to contribute to high-level design for use at proposal or bid stage and to apply technical standards and best practice. You'll configure, customise or develop software and software components to meet the requirements of nominated projects and create software engineering designs and implement robust code according to local and industry quality standards.  

Essential skills for this role include ;
Experience developing web-based solutions with the ArcGIS JavaScript API, or ArcGIS Flex API. 
Experience developing with ArcObjects in either .NET or JAVA . 
Experience developing ArcGIS GeoProcessing tools and services with Model Builder and Python. 
Experience in the use of one of the standard industry development languages and associated development frameworks. 
Understanding of code versioning, configuration and release management . 
Having a good understanding of the GI market. 
Knowledge of the technologies used for the implementation of ESRI-based solutions, both on stand-alone and enterprise scales. 
You will also have expertise and a minimum of 3 years' 

experience in at least one of: 
Technical architecture , Software design / development. 
The application of ArcGIS technologies in a specific industry domain . 
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills 

Desirable skills include; 
Knowledge of GIS and its practice using ESRI technology, including architecture, deployment and exploitation for client business benefit . 
Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills (verbal and written). 
Strong technical estimating skills. 
Experience in client facing environments. 
Experience of the whole project lifecycle, from concept to completion, in medium to large scale projects.
