The day is provided in conjunction with Archives for London and their new website   www.winningendeavours.org

For teachers (qualified and training), heritage education officers, freelancers, and anyone planning to deliver learning activities based on the theme of sport and the Olympics.

The day will include:

• Accessing and using resources from the Winning Endeavours website


• Workshops on activities for schools and families based on sports heritage materials (cross curricular and lots of fun)


• Developing an activities programme that suits you


• How to promote and market your events

Winning Endeavours is a new website packed with hundreds of images, documents, posters, newspaper cuttings and information which tell the story of London’s sporting achievements during the twentieth century, including the 1908 and 1948 Olympic Games.

 
The site has been supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and created as a partnership project between Archives for London, London

Metropolitan Archives and the British Library. Many other archives are involved.
