Teach and Design Educational Video Successfully
Wednesday 15 June 2011 Central London 
A new and innovative course focusing on what to teach and how to teach on video.  Presented by Jack Koumi, an expert in the scripting and production of educational media for higher education, with over 22 years experience at the BBC Open University.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
 - Understand video design principles
 - Be able to design pedagogically effective videos
 - Appreciate when video is the most effective medium in teaching

Copyright Clearance for Print, Broadcast and Multimedia Production
Wednesday 29 June 2011 Central London 
An essential one-day course for those copying and using existing content in productions and services.  The course is delivered by Alma Hales, Head of Intellectual Property at the Open University and Bernadette Attwell, former Deputy Head of Intellectual Property at the Open University.  
Attendees will gain an understanding of:
 - Types of work which are protected
 - Rights ownership and licensing
 - The status of copyright exceptions
 - The meaning of 'fair dealing'
