A postdoctoral research associate position is immediately available at the Yerkes Imaging Center, Emory University. Specific research will involve the development and application of Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) and functional MRI on non-human primate models for cognitive and developmental neuroscience. Potential applicants should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with expertise ranging from biomedical engineering to biophysics or related disciplines, and be highly motivated to explore multidisciplinary researches. 2+ year experience in animal or human MRI research is essential. Experiences in DTI, cerebral blood flow imaging, or functional MRI are desirable. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of MRI physicists and neuroscientists.

The Yerkes imaging center has well-established animal imaging facilities equipped with state-of-the-art imaging instruments including a Bruker 7T animal scanner (BioSpec 70/30), and a Siemens whole body clinical scanner (3T Trio), two Siemens micro PETs, and an optical imaging lab, a SIEMENS C-ARM SIREMOBIL Compact, and various MRI-related hardware and software facilities.
