Dear members,

Hope you have been enjoying a relaxing Easter break in the sunshine.

Following on from the discussions around the Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development programme at the last Experts meeting, you may be interested in the free event which is taking place on the 28th June showcasing the Work-based learning maturity toolkit.

Best regards,

Sarah

------------------------------------

A group of universities and colleges (across England, Scotland and Wales) has developed a work-based learning maturity toolkit (including a methodology for using it) with funding from JISC’s Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development programme and are in the process of piloting it (see www.tinyurl.com/wbl-toolkit).

On the 28 June (10am – 4pm), they will be holding a dissemination workshop at the University of Westminster, London. The objectives of the workshop will be to:

·         describe the toolkit, the methodology for using it and the benefits from engaging with it;

·         share experiences of its application – the pilot institutions;

·         “recruit” institutions to participate in a second-stage pilot and develop an outline plan for this.

You are invited to the workshop - which will be of interest to:

·         work-based learning /work-force development managers;

·         senior managers in universities / colleges concerned with partnerships & employer engagement;

·         academics and programme team leaders;

·         specialists involved with work-based learning pedagogies, blended learning, technology-enhanced learning and QA/QE.

You can register for the workshop at https://www.eventsforce.net/jisc/113/home. It is free to attend. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis with a maximum of two persons allowed per institution.

Information about the event is available in the attached file and if you require further information, please contact Peter Chatterton ([log in to unmask]).

Please also circulate this e-mail to other colleagues who have an interest in work-based learning & employer engagement.

Best regards,

Sarah
