Hi
This is quite a difficult one and any views would be appreciated.
We have a company who look after approx. 200 young carers.
However, this has recently gone out to tender and the present company have lost
the tender and it has gone to another company. We need the data to be passed
over to the new company but the present company are refusing to release the
data under the terms of the DP Act. It's a bit of a dilema and the only point
I can think of is that it is the best interests of the carers who e.g. can be
children looking after a parent with a disability. There is nothing in the
current contract to state that this information should be released.
Any thoughts would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Doreen
