14:45-15:30 Sabine Clarke (University of York), New uses for sugar and industrial development in the British West Indies,
1940-1960.


15:30-16:00 Tea and coffee

16:00-16:45 Michael Morris (Glasgow University), Scots and the Maroons of Jamaica: Ambivalent histories of Empire.

16:45-17:30 Clare Newstead (Nottingham Trent University), Race, regionalism and oppositional politics in the Caribbean.
