Dear collective

We got asked to do a ur lactate/creat ratio in a neonate with ? perinatal asphyxia. No evidence of meconium stained amniotic fluid.

The paeds want to predict the risk of Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy.

We have a first pass urine and intend analysing the lactate on Roche Modular.

Does anyone have a risk cut-off for this ratio?

Cheers john
