Please forward as relevant, and apologies for cross-posting... *** The Sexuality and Space Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers is pleased to invite submissions for the 2011 Sexuality and Space Student Paper Competition. Winners will be notified prior to the 2011 Annual Meeting of the AAG in Seattle, WA. Submission deadline: March 25, 2011. Eligibility: Any student currently enrolled in an undergraduate, masters or doctoral degree program in Geography or a related discipline may submit a paper written in the past year (since 1 March 2010). Papers are welcome from students at institutions outside the United States. Students do not necessarily have to be presenting a paper at this year's annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers to be eligible for an award. Requirements: We are seeking excellent quality student papers that advance the study of sexuality and space. Papers should be 4000-6000 words in length (including explanatory footnotes/endnotes, but excluding references), with an additional 100-200 word abstract. Figures and images should be included as separate pages rather than embedded within the text. Papers should be properly referenced, although students may choose the citation method they think appropriate. Papers should be in English. Submission Procedure: Ideally, submissions will be made electronically.
