For unsuccessful tender documents Dorset County Council follow the Record
Management Society recommendation (4.10) and TNA guidance which is destroy
2 years after the issuing of the contract. We keep successful contracts
for 6 years after the end of the contact.

Hope that helps.

Subject
Retention of unsuccessful tender documents

Can anyone confirm how long unsuccessful tender documents (ie completed
Pre-Qualification Questionnaires from unsuccessful bidders) should be kept
for?

I?ve looked at a number of organisations? retention schedules, but have
found conflicting guidance. Most seem to say they should be kept for 1
year from the start of the contract, citing common practice as the
derivation, others say 2 years and one public sector body says 6 years,
citing the Limitation Act 1980.
