Indeed it does.

Graham Stringer, whose career I have followed since his days on Manchester City Council, has always been a bit of a geezer in political terms. Stringer is one of those politicians whose rise is due in part to knowing where the bodies are buried, and his activities have on a number of occasions featured in the pages of Private Eye. On the positive side, Stringer is someone who stands by his friends through thick and thin. Take Phil Woolas, for example.

It doesn't surprise me to see this publicity-hungry contrarian flogging the dead horse of climate scepticism. It is far easier to be a big fish in a small pond than a minnow in an ocean.
