Being registered or not is immaterial. If someone came to me for a fit note for a period where no consultation with any type of doctor had taken place they wouldn't get one

I can't beat that one although - long story short - a management referral came to see me recently, off sick from 24th December until 2nd January, thought they'd registered with a GP, discovered they hadn't registered with the surgery when they went to ask for a back dated fit note. Sick due to D&V that spread through the household like the Christmas spirit. House hum...
