Hello again,

Sorry I didn't explain properly. We will scan and retain all new
information on cohort, however to save scanning all paper notes held, we
will summarise as we go, but retain old records for access.

It's sounds as though cohort users feel it was a good move.

Thank you for your feedback.

Cheryl

	Hi Cheryl
Why scan and keep paper copies? Why not scan into a document
managemtn system if COHORT can't manage them ( don't know enouh about
COHORT)

	Hi List,

We are hoping to go paper light shortly, introducing Cohort to
our practice. We acknowledge that we will have to scan some hard copies
to electronic files, and retain paper notes, but we are hoping that the
transition should free up most of the time that we now spend on admin.

I would like to ask those people using cohort, for any feedback
regarding the absence management, and vocational rehabilitation uses of
the system. Have you needed to incorporate supplementary documents to
fulfil your requirements?

	Regards

	Cheryl

	Hi Tracy
We are paper light. We are a large NHS Trust of 9500 staff plus
big external contracts. Paper less is an ideal but people keep sending
us info on paper so we have to manage it. We have been fully paper light
since 2009. It will depend on how you want to go paperlight and whether
you are dealing with your old records as well. Costs will depend on
numbers of back files and what you want your current system to look
like.
We have had no regrets. Made us much more efficient. No hunting
for horrid paper files.
Happy if you want to contact me off list for more info
	Jean
