Hi Jane,

When I am considering the Equality Act in relation to cases I don’t always feel that the diagnosis is the most important factor. I generally consider the effect of any symptoms that the individual has in relation to them living their lives.

My question back to you would be...does the symptoms (or would they without treatment) have a significant effect on their ability to live their life, for instance do they avoid anything or have difficulty doing any activity etc, etc!!

Sarah

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Equality Act question

Would the list consider pain every month resulting in absences accordingly, due to polycystic ovaries covered under the Equality Act..is there any evidence (as I can not find any in my books)

Thank you

Jane
