A postdoctoral research associate position is available at Brookhaven National Laboratory for work in the area of spectroscopy and dynamics of transient species related to combustion chemistry. The work will be under the direction of Drs. Trevor Sears and Gregory Hall; some broad information is available at: http://www.bnl.gov/chemistry/programs/GPMD.asp Work in the Sears group at Stony Brook is summarized at: http://sites.google.com/site/msdsbu/ Current research includes a new effort to use frequency combs for precision spectroscopy as well as conventional high resolution laser techniques including frequency-modulated laser absorption, laser-induced fluorescence and cavity ringdown spectroscopy. There are multiple different experimental setups in a versatile laboratory configuration. Candidates should have been awarded a PhD in an area related to molecular physics, chemical dynamics, laser science or laser spectroscopy within the past 3 years. Applications may be sent to Trevor Sears ([log in to unmask]) or Greg Hall ([log in to unmask]) and further details may also be obtained from them. Please include a CV and names and adresses of 3 potential reference writers in your application. -- Dr Trevor Sears Professor of Chemistry Stony Brook University Stony Brook, NY 11794 631-632 1144 e-mail: [log in to unmask] www: http://sites.google.com/site/msdsbu/ and Senior Chemist Department of Chemistry Brookhaven National Laboratory Upton, NY 11973-5000 Phone: 631-344 4374 Fax: 631-344 5815 E-Mail: [log in to unmask] To join or leave the molecular-dynamics-news email list, go to: http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/molecular-dynamics-news.html
