Some strong voices.... thanks to Race for Health for doing this and letting us circulate it. Mark R D Johnson Moderator, Minority-Ethnic-Health Discussion List www.jiscmail.ac.uk/minority-ethnic-health<http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/minority-ethnic-health> ----- I was wondering if you might be able to circulate the attached new document to jiscmail members. It is entitled Tackling Health Inequalities in the new NHS - An Agenda for Action. Published last week, it follows a summit of 70 equalities experts - drawn from current commissioning bodies and including representatives from new GP commissioning consortia. It identifies the issues that need to be tackled in the transition period up to April 2013 to ensure that we build on the current achievements in the equalities field. It sets out concerns about who holds responsibilities and whether we have made sufficient provision for knowledge and expertise to be gathered, held and developed to support the transition to the new system. Hope you can send it around. Would be most grateful Kind regards Jack Communications Race for Health [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> 07779 655585 ******************************************************************************************************************** This message may contain confidential information.
