medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Jeri -- if the context is (as I suspect, given the intensive brevity of the phrase) heraldic or something similar, then I'd say it's probably 'strong and constant / enduring / patient'  [take your pick of the latter].

Best wishes, George

Not Strength and Endurance? I'm trying to read a very bad and very old Xerox. It might say Fortis et Patientia?

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear List,

I was looking for a quick translation from Latin to English of the following:  fortis et patiens

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
