Hi All,

Medical Registers might be something held at your Local History Centre or County Record Office/Archives Service. WhenIi was studying for my undergraduateHistory degree I know there were some hospital registeres in my local Record Office.

A note of warning though - the date ranges are very variable and whether the records are 'open' top public viewing is also questionable.
For anything within the last 100 years I would recomend asking the archivist/staff but don't be supprised if the documents are 'closed' for legal/privacy reasons for the individuals named in the books.

If they are looking for records of a relative some Archivists/staff might allow access to the particual page on which they are mentioned whilst blanking out all other information or tying the rest of the documet closed, but thisis by no means guaranteed.

I've also been asked to search old Medical Directories/Registers - in this case from 1827 to the 1850s to find a particular entry. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Subject: old medical registers 1940s

Hi,
can anyone help?
I have had an enquiry from someone about accessing the medical register of doctors from the 1940s. They are looking for someone specific in them. Does anyone know if these are available anywhere online or in print?

Thank you.
