As providers of information services, librarians are competing in an increasingly difficult market and have turned to aggregators to provide networked access to established reference titles.

In his previous talk John shared his vision of an online reference service for people to use wherever they are and whenever they have a need for information. He is back to report on progress and will demonstrate, using iPads, how learners at home or school can be enticed into libraries. John will be supported by Pete Ciuffetti, one of Credo's top computer scientists: Pete is working with British librarians on ways to increase the accessibility and usage of their resources.

Come and join in the discussion and bring your suggestions for what Credo and other library providers can do to help the libraries they serve.

John Dove is President of Credo Reference where he has been since 2003.  He has worked in the online information industry for over 40 years - for financial services, education, and libraries. In the late 90s he was President and COO of Silverplatter. Pete Ciuffetti was one of the principle computer scientists at Silverplatter where he also served on its board of directors.  He has been at Credo Reference since 2004.

This talk will be of particular value to anyone registered for CILIP Chartership and can contribute towards CPD requirements.
