Worth also checking your internal post. We find our internal post is  only delivered and collected on certain days of the week week now, so stuff lies around for a while here and also goes missing because the post service, although internal, works on a number of sites.

Hello,

I would say it is not a blip.  We have had enormous challenges extracting paper copies of journals for some time now.

We are told we didn’t claim in time (rarely true) or that we have claimed too many times (our fault how?) and that we have had too many free replacements and will have to pay for further replacements (you must be kidding).

Problem seems to come from use of the cheapest possible route for delivery.  Net effect – non delivery.

Cheers

Alan

Subject: Back copies of missing journals

Here at the NOC we have a number of outstanding journal issues from last year.

We have met with our account services manager to discuss the matter and they report that we are a blip in terms of not having our back issues supplied and that most clients have had their back copies of journals supplied.

Is this the case that for most libraries this problem is now resolved?

Looking forward, are there any examples where subscription agents have dealt with this well?

Many thanks,
