Following the successful completion of the Medical Core Collection review it has been decided to review the Primary Care Core Collection that was published a few years ago by Tomlinsons. This is obviously very timely due to “Transforming Community Services” and the move towards GP commissioning in the NHS.

 

David Law, Library Services Manager for Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust, has kindly volunteered to lead on this title and is looking for volunteers to form part of an editorial group.  The collection will be compiled using the same methodology as the other titles in the Core Collections series using Library Thing, so there will be additional opportunities to contribute to the collection remotely through the Library Thing platform over the coming months.

Involvement in the editorial group will entail attending an initial meeting in June for which HLG will cover travel costs.
