Dear Colleagues,
even on behalf of the other Conveners,
I am pleased to advertise the scientific sessions listed below, organized at EGU-2011 (European
Geosciences Union, Vienna), GEOITALIA-2011 (VIII Italian Forum of Earth Sciences, Torino), and WLF2
(Second World Landslide Forum, Roma).
Please, note that the deadlines for abstract submission to WLF2 (15 March) and GEOITALIA-2011 (16
May) are approaching!
The main topics of the sessions are:
- landslide forecasting, monitoring and modeling, and related approaches to hazard evaluation and
mitigation;
- sinkhole susceptibility, risk evaluation and mapping;
- modeling of dangerous phenomena, and innovative techniques for hazard evaluation and risk
mitigation;
- advances in slope stability modelling.
I would be glad if you considered submitting an Abstract on your studies related to the topic of the
sessions.
As a rule, the presenting Authors must register on-line at the meetings' WebPages.
After receiving their personal keys (ID and password), Authors will be able to submit abstract/s
directly via the meetings' WebPages.
After the Conferences, the Authors of the studies presented (either as oral or poster) at the
sessions will be invited to submit full papers, which will be considered for publication in a
guest-edited Special Issue of a relevant (ISI) International Journal.
