Programmer
engage/enquire International Conference

Fee £3,500 + up to £500 expenses
 
engage wishes to commission a Programmer to develop the concept for the engage International Conference (14-16 November 2011, Margate) and to programme this important annual event.
 
The proposed theme for this year’s conference is ‘The role of artists in gallery education and how artists’ practice can provide opportunities for democratic participation’. engage is interested in exploring this theme through lectures and presentations, and in workshop settings that provide opportunities for exchange and debate. The Programmer will be asked to draw on relevant experience to source speakers, facilitators, and national and international case studies.
 
The Programmer will work closely with the engage Director, enquire Programme Director and engage colleagues in developing their ideas for the Conference and will submit the final programme by July 2011. engage staff will work with the Programmer on the practical planning of the event, dealing with logistics and bookings of venues, catering and transport.
