They do a lot of social / community development work, it's rural and lots of land (40acres) , they have some gardens and plots that communities develop, some bits of woodland - lots of scope I should think.
Herb gardens and outdoor sculptures would be great for sensory work
Give Claire McDade a call (Director) I'm sure she'd be happy to chat and see what's possible.
It's one of those magical places - you go once and it stays in your heart forever, life just feels better while you're there, so I'm sure it
could help you deliver the effects you're after.
Lots of luck

Subject: Suggestions for suitable museum venue in the north west
Dear GEMMERS
Can anyone suggest a good venue - eg a rural
museum, heritage centre or place with a strong farming/rural
theme - to host a workshop day for farmers, care workers etc in
the noth west. The farmers will be working with people in residential care
on their farms - using reminscence and sensory resources so we would like the
environment to provide some inspiration and context for the day.
The workshop will be on Monday 6 June.
Many thanks
Sarah Baylis
