Dear Carl

Let's have a t shirt colour so that we can share an identity if not a space! I am going to find out this weekend about where the University buses are going to drop people. Once I have that I will get back in touch with the list. I am happy to be told where people will be meeting and to try to find people once arriving in London.

Hi Abdullah, Danny, Helen, Deborah, Jacqui and all on the list,

1. Meeting point

I haven't spotted an agreed meeting point yet.

I am not a London resident, so definitely need some help here.

Some people going on the march are UCL-base, some are coming in to the Embankment on buses from the midlands and others are coming into Euston.

Where should we meet? Jacqui needs a spot to tell the Comm Psy section about.

2. Presentation

Abdullah mentioned a slogan: "cuts = depression, depression = cuts". Do we want to have an agreed slogan to put on T shirts or a banner? Are we happy simply to turn up and swell the numbers? Are there banners/placards already being handed out by the organizers?

If we wanted to have a comm. Psych. Collective identity, in Birmingham we have been discussing using a particular colour of T shirt with a logo.

We were also thinking about using the fish logo from the Exeter Conference but we have only been able to locate the second half of the design (ie the bit on the back of the T shirt). I have attached it for your information. The first half of the design (ie the bit on the front of the T shirt) shows the large fish chasing the small fish. We don't have this bit. (Does anybody have the skills to reconstruct the front part of the design?)

At the moment this leaves us logo-less, although we have also considered the psi symbol.

Any thoughts?

Carl

Hey all,

Hope you are keeping as well as can be, I think Deborah had mentioned that she will be going and wanting some catchy slogans....a friend suggested "cuts = depression, depression = cuts" or visa versa. That's the best coming out of my social circle!

As for the logistics, I agree it will probably be a nightmare trying to meet at Embankment...its busy on a normal day, March day there will be loads of people more. I'd suggest meeting somewhere before in a location a short walk away, perhaps Blackfriars or Holborn. This being said, those travelling from the Midlands and the North West will probably come into Euston/Marylebone...which would make Embankment a quick single tube journey down from either station. Those from the East and North East I presume you'd come into Liverpool Street, I'll be travelling through there so could possibly meet at the station (Danny? Anyone else?) on my way to meet some friends and the others (i.e. Carl/Midlands Group/Helen).

Keep well,

Abdullah
