This happens to be the error you get when you run a 32-bit binary on a

64-bit Ubuntu machine _without_ the 32-bit compatibility libraries
installed.
So are you running a 64-bit installation? (uname -m)
Do you have the ia32-libs package installed? (dpkg -l ia32-libs)
