'Winning Endeavours - Digitising London's Olympic Past'

Nicola Avery, principal archivist at the London Metropolitan Archives, will introduce us to this exciting collaborative project led by Archives for London in partnership with London Metropolitan Archives and the British Library. Nicola will highlight some of the most interesting stories uncovered by the HLF-funded project which has gathered together archival and press material relating to London’s distinguished Olympic history. Digital images of the material along with their background stories are presented on the new Winning Endeavours website and Nicola will lead us through a demonstration of this valuable new resource on the night.This topical seminar promises to be of interest to records enthusiasts and sports fans alike, in particular those wishing to know more about the survival of sporting records.
