Nicola Avery, principal archivist at the London Metropolitan Archives,
will introduce us to this exciting collaborative project led by

and the British Library. Nicola will highlight some of the most
interesting stories uncovered by the HLF-funded project which has
gathered together archival and press material relating to London’s
distinguished Olympic history. Digital images of the material along
with their background stories are presented on the new Winning
Endeavours website and Nicola will lead us through a demonstration of
this valuable new resource on the night. This topical seminar promises
to be of interest to records enthusiasts and sports fans alike, in
particular those wishing to know more about the survival of sporting
records.
