Dear Sarah
Can I suggest you seek out a very interesting paper in this area, by
André Duarte, Camila Garcia, Gregory Giannarakis and Susana Limão, entitled New Approaches in Transportation Planning: Happiness and Transport Economics; from last year I think.
Best wishes
Bryan

Subject: [UTSG] Commuting and happiness project

I am a postgraduate student at Cambridge University and for my dissertation
am hoping to carry out a study into commuting and wellbeing. The research
will build on findings by Kahneman (2006) that commuting is the least happy
time in a persons day, and attempt to break this down by transport mode,
length and type of journey.

I wondered whether anyone on this list knew of any similar research, or
papers generally on transport and wellbeing? I would very much appreciate
any comments readers of this list have.

Best wishes,
