The Maritime Art of Kenneth D. Shoesmith R.I. (1890-1939) by Glyn L. Evans includes a chapter dedicated to Kipling's "Great Steamers White and Gold".

Kenneth Shoesmith was a watercolourist who exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Paris Salon and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. His maritime art perfectly captures the romance and adventure of ocean liner travel in the 1920s and 1930s. Glyn Evans has spent many years researching and re-discovering Shoesmith's work and the book includes works which are a fond tribute to the artist's talents.
