Dagger in the Library Award 2011

Nominate crime authors and win books:

The Dagger in the Library Award 2011 is open for nominations. Sponsored by Random House and part of the high-profile Crime Writers' Association (CWA) awards, the Library Dagger is given to "the crime fiction author whose body of work is currently giving the greatest enjoyment to readers."

Authors are nominated solely by UK libraries and library reading groups and judged by a panel of librarians. Libraries and reading groups who send in author nominations (up to 3 each are allowed) have the chance to win tickets for the awards gala or £300 of books.

Nominations close 1st April 2011. See www.thecwa.co.uk/daggers/library for the rules, a downloadable poster and nomination form. Or find the Dagger in the Library on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/CWA-Dagger-in-the-Library-Award/187200711297955

The 2011 librarian judging panel is: John Martin (Leics), Helen McNabb (Vale of Glamorgan), Deb Ryan (RNIB), Mobeena Khan (Herts), Vice Chair Karen Fraser (Shetland) and Chair Cheney Gardner (Richmond).
