*Apologies for cross-posting again* Thank you to everyone who has responded to my query so far. It is mainly my own fault for not being clear in my initial posting; but in addition to knowing which suppliers are used, I am interested in knowing how you deal with the licensing issues of getting the DVD from your chosen supplier. Many thanks, David _________________________ ____________________ From: David Porter Sent: 10 February 2011 12:06 To: [log in to unmask]; [log in to unmask]; [log in to unmask]; [log in to unmask] Subject: Procurement of DVDs for Academic Library Lending *Apologies for cross-posting* I would be interested to hear from Academic Libraries who lend out DVDs and where you purchase the DVDs from. I would also like any information on how you deal with any disc(s) which may be lost while on loan. Following a recent incident involving a lost DVD, it seems that the only option for replacing the missing disc(s) would be to obtain them again from one of the companies we use for educational DVD supply. There seems to be no option for the student to provide us with a replacement copy from a cheaper supplier as we would not have a purchase agreement for it. Similarly we are not able to accept donations for the same reason.
