Fourteenth International Mikhail Bakhtin Conference July 4-8, 2011, University of Bologna, University Centre of Bertinoro (Forlì-Cesena), Italy Bachtin: proverka bolshim vremenem Bakhtin: Through the Test of Great Time Bachtin alla prova del tempo grande CALL FOR PAPERS You are cordially invited to participate in the XIV International Bakhtin Conference. The conference will be organized around various coordinated topic areas 1) The philological issue (the situation of Bakhtinian texts, with particular reference to the critical edition in seven volumes as yet unfinished; 2) Bakhtin philosopher and theorist (his contribution to philosophy, literary theory, religious thought, aesthetics, anthropology and contemporary human sciences); 3) Bakhtin and literary, cultural and anthropological history (corpuses, bodies, objects, languages, chronotopes). There will also be special sessions on the Bakhtin Circle, religious thought, linguistic and mediological research, and musicology. However, papers and panel proposals on all aspects of the work of the Bakhtin Circle are welcome: genesis, influences, comparisons, reception, extensions, reformulations, exegesis, textology, translation, teaching, and in all spheres in which Bakhtinian thought is proving to be particularly productive.
