italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies ACIS conference -Melbourne, Australia: third call for papers/sessions - deadline 15 February 2011 Italian Studies – New Directions
The Australasian Centre for Italian Studies (ACIS) Sixth Biennial Conference will be held at
The University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus, 13 - 16 July 2011.
 
Like previous ACIS Biennial conferences, the 2011 conference explores the most recent directions taken by the multifarious and
interdisciplinary research areas within 'Italian Studies' (including Italian literature,
history, art history, linguistics, translation studies, migration and border studies, cinema studies,
anthropology, sociology).
This conference is dedicated to the late Prof Bill Kent and is a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Cassamarca Australia project.

The committee of the 2011 ACIS Conference invites submissions of session proposals and paper proposals for the 2011 Conference.
Abstracts may be submitted in either English or Italian

Sessions/papers may be on any of the following areas:
Italian language teaching
Italian /medieval and renaissance studies
Linguistics
Migration and border studies
Sociology
Anthropology
History
Literature
Business
Cinema studies
Cultural studies
Translation studies
Visual arts
Architecture
 

The deadline for submissions is 15 February 2011

The Committee of the 2011 ACIS Conference will consider and confirm sessions soon after the deadline.

 
Some travel bursaries are available for postgraduate students.
