Oxford Brookes are recruiting for a full-time Assistant Subject Librarian to support students and staff in Health and Social Care, specifically Nursing, Midwifery and Operating Department Practice programmes at Oxford and Swindon, within the Department of Clinical Health Care
 
You will be:
§   delivering information skills sessions
§   handling enquiries
§   providing academic support
§   involved in stock management
 
You should have:
§   a professional qualification in librarianship/information science
§   library experience, ideally in an academic library
§   familiarity with databases and other information sources
§   excellent ICT and written and verbal communication skills
§   the ability to carry out effective information skills training
 
This post is based at the Headington Library (Oxford), but there is a frequent requirement to work at both the Marston Road site (Oxford) and the Swindon Campus. The expectation is that one day a week will normally be at Swindon.
 
Starting salary: £28,138, rising annually to £30,748
