From memory I am pretty sure the FOI rule is dont charge for any individial enquiry where the cost would be less than £450 - but do check out the guidelines themselves.

Thanks Sandy.

Does FoI say that provision of individual enquiries should be less than £450 each, or that the cost of providing the service should be less than £450?  No individual enquiry amounts to that much, but if I add up all the staff time spent on providing searches per annum it is several thousand pounds.


It was indicated that this limit related to each individual enquiry, rather than the provision of the service as a whole on an annual basis.
