Subject: SHINY Ridge and Furrow

hi HERO's

we are SHIN-ing at the moment and the question has come up as to whether we would include earthwork Ridge and furrow (regardless of period).

I am not sure on this as

1) we don't have an assessment on coverage county wide so have no way of working out how much is left, so how rare it is

2) its not complex archaeology (which is what I understand ELS to be targeted at)

On the other hand, it is manageable under ELS, and is given as an example in documentation (eg Farming for the Historic Environment leaflet)

What are the rest of you doing?

tar

best wishes
