The Mental health and heritage: working in collaboration/ partnership event on the 8th March, 10.30-4.15 at The Lightbox, Woking is a series of interactive and practical workshops showcasing the Surrey, East and West Sussex Mental Health Project. Four heritage organisations worked with partners from the mental health sector to develop and deliver projects tailored to the needs of the participants. The event will enable you to meet the project partners and taste first-hand elements of the successful projects from creative writing inspired by heritage collections to participants being involved in the interpretation of archives.

The project brought together four heritage organisations from across Surrey. Each worked with different partner organisations from the mental health sector culminating in four very different projects that extended access to their collections:
•	Guildford Heritage Service: ZigZag Stories with Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Surrey County Council mental health services
•	Watts Gallery: Big Issues Project with The Cellar, Godalming
•	The Lightbox: Speaking Our Minds and Woking Community Play Association
•	Surrey History Centre: Looking About Us and Woking Mind

The day will provide opportunities to:
•	See the projects in action, with an interactive demonstration workshops of each of the individual projects
•	Meet the project leads and people involved in the projects to find out about successful partnership working
•	Meet others interested in potential new collaborations
•	Discover partnerships outside the museum and heritage sector
•	See the temporary and permanent mental health exhibitions at The Lightbox.

Cost: FREE with lunch included

The event is aimed at those working in the heritage sector, mental health professionals and commissioners.
