Hello all,
A quick inquiry. We all know that “the dream of Zavattini is to make a ninety-minute film of the life of a man to whom nothing happens".  This quote comes from Bazin's "Evolution of Film Language". It has since become common knowledge that, yes, this is Zavattini's dream. My question is, does Zavattini ever really say this? Or is this Bazin putting words in his mouth, words that are now taught to every "Intro to Film History" student (including my own!). Is Bazin citing Zavattini from some place (which I have yet to find) or is he doing some dreaming of his own?

Cheers,
Glen
