The University of Southern Denmark’s Centre for Welfare State Research in Odense invites applications for a postdoctoral position for one year (12 months). The starting date is May 1, 2011 or soon thereafter. Closing date for applications is March 1, 2011, 12 o'clock. 

The successful applicant is expected to contribute to research on the restructuring of European welfare states. The Centre for Welfare State Research especially welcomes applications from researchers with experience in the areas of ‘parties and welfare politics’, ‘family policies’ and ‘immigration and the welfare state’.

Applicant’s qualifications:
To qualify for the position, applicants must have a PhD or be near to completion of a PhD in Political Science or another relevant discipline within the Social Sciences. Finally, the applicant must have good academic, social and language skills.

The successful applicant will join a vibrant and research-led multi-disciplinary academic community with excellent conditions to excel in advanced data analysis and research.
