1) "Big Society shrinking Fast" say ESOL learners.

Press released attached for Wednesday's banner-making, letter-writing, campaign planning workshop and photo opportunity. Two workshops for ESOL students at the same time. One at Surrey Square Primary School in Walworth SE17 and the other at The John Roan School in Blackheath (SE3). At the same time (2.30) we're going to take our banners out of the schools for a photo and two of the learners will offer solidarity on the phone to each other. This Wednesday 23rd February.

2) Campaign training for teachers and students on March 4th, at Action Aid offices 33-39 Bowling Green Lane, London, EC1R 0BJ, from 2-5pm. It's for teachers and students - but of course both are welcome without the other! Please let me know if you'd like to come. I'll be facilitating with help from my colleagues at Action Aid's REFLECT ESOL. We'll be looking at things we can do in the classroom to get learners involved in the campaign.

Thanks,
Dermot
