Really great work at Thomas Danby, giving Greenwich Community College a run for their money!

Subject: Action for ESOL

Just to let you all know that at the Thomas Danby Campus of Leeds City College students have written, to date, 983 letters protesting against the proposed funding changes - sent to a mix of local MPs, local councillors, and Ministers. We are hoping they all take the time to send individual replies!

Students have also been signing the on-line petition and every student has been given a paper petition to take away to get signed.

We challenged staff to commit at least one lesson to explaining the situation, and letter writing. The letters were all individualised - no mass copies.
