In response to my recent email, one researcher wrote
to me and said:
“What you say about 'torture to give up her
secrets' reminds me very strongly of my days of doing market research, when you
were desperate for the participants to say something in a way which you could
incorporate as a quotation in your report - and which clients would
appreciate! This led to some pretty desperate forms of interviewing at times,
too.”
This may (w)ring a bell with other researchers, too!
