Field of Dreams?
Contemporary Explorations at the Interface Between Religion and Popular Culture
5 to 7 May 2011

Why might TV be as significant as Bach? How are faith communities to deal with
what people actually do with media and popular culture? What are the pros and
cons of the WWW for religious groups? What’s happening to belief in a
media-saturated age?

This conference for anyone researching, or interested in, interaction of
religion and theology with media, popular culture and the arts.  It is also
expected to lead to the re-formation of the UK Research Network for Theology,
Religion and Popular Culture (founded 2005).
