The 10th European Sociological Association conference will take place in Geneva, September 7 – 10th 2011.
The ESA ‘Youth and Generation’ network have issued a call for papers. The conference theme is ‘social relations in turbulent times’.
We invite the submission of papers which address any aspects of young people’s identities and experiences and the following are indicative suggestions -

· Youth identities
· Youth subculture and ‘post-subculture’
· Young people and political participation in Europe
· Education and learning
· Employment, unemployment and under-employment
· Culture, consumption and leisure
· Multiculturalism, ethnicity and migration
· Mobility and place, local and global contexts
· Health and well-being
· Drugs, alcohol and addiction
· Young people and criminality
· Gender and sexuality
· Young people, relationships and the family
· Young parenthood
· Young people and religion

Abstract submission
Abstracts of no more than 300 words are invited. Please submit your abstract on-line at the conference web site via the following web address http://www.esa10thconference.com/submission.php The final date for the submission of abstracts is 25th February 2011. You will be notified whether your paper has been accepted or not on or soon after 6th April 2011
30th April 2011 Closing of the Early--‐bird conference registration.
15th June 2011 Final date for registration by paper givers (otherwise papers will be withdrawn from the conference programme).
